However, that was in the middle of the afternoon so it was no biggie. They are right, as we could hear the housekeeping staff next door like they were in our room. Was a little worried about the thin walls after reading reviews. Just got back from visiting son in Winston-Salem. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would most certainly stay again if I'm in the area. I reported this to the front desk so perhaps someone who stays after me will find out if they fixed it. I had forgotten just how small :) And my only other complaint was that my deadbolt lock did not work as the door was constructed too high for the square hole it was supposed to go into. The only drawback would be that double beds are indeed small. is in an uncomfortable spot because you have to turn it to one direction or the other so you cannot sit in the seating area and on the bed simultaneously and watch. The room was spacious, closet great size and I enjoyed the sitting area and little kitchen area. The Hotel staff were great, helpful and responsive with the exception that I arrived very late and had to stand for a minute ringing the bell to get in. The location was excellent for giving great variety.
It sits in the middle of a mall complex (much more than just a mall), across from a Target and other stores, walking distance to Lone Star Restaurant and Hooters and eye shot of many others.
The signage on the road from I-40 could have been better but the hotel more than made up once I found it. My party consisted of a 21 yr old and 9 yr old daughter and myself who traveled for a WSSA cup stacking tournament for my nine yr old.
